Update 1/24: @ettagirl responded to this post on Twitter, saying, “perhaps creativity is seeing what needs to be pared away—a bit like math—searching the very nub of a thing. guess i agree :)” That reminds me of the Michelangelo quote, “Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.” …Which also makes me realize, I should explain the source of the image above, by Austin Kleon.
